I was blown away by the improvement when I replaced blown speakers in my Ashdown 2x10 combo bass amp with Tone Tubbies recently. So now I am thinking of upgrading an older 4x10 Mesa Boogie "Diesel" style cab with them. It might be a good time to retune the porting of the cabinet, since I notice that you recommend rear vents for your speakers. A little background: I have switched to Ashdown amps. I like the sub bass octave generator they use.

"Hey TT guys, I got my 2x10 da bomb cab yesterday. Played it at rehearsal last night and am very very happy, it sounds smooth and just great. If you need an endorser that is somewhat less famous than Clapton I'm all yours. Keep up the great work!

Hey Tom. Love the release. Thanks for keeping me up to date on all meaningful things GREEN.
I too love my Tone Tubby speakers. I've got the Bomb configuration in my "64 Fender Vibro Verb. No comparison to anything else I've ever used. I'd like to have my 4x12 Marshall cab and 4x10 Super Reverb loaded with them..someday...someday.

Your 8" ceramic speaker turned my little Korean-made Vox Cambridge 15 into aworld-class amp. I tried alternatives, but they both sounded like mud with an ice-pick treble thrown on top. When I put the Tubby in I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The treble is sweet, crisp and rounded off perfectly, no harshness at all. The bass response is tougher and ballsier than any 1x8 I've heard anywhere, anytime. No matter how I set the dials, I can not dial up a bad tone with this amp. Who would have guessed that the speaker alone could make THIS much difference? But it really does. Thank you!
